Our camps:

Half Day Camps:

Our half day camps are three hours of fun and instruction about horses. Kids learn new skills through confidence building exercises, games on horse back, and trail riding. Kids need to bring a snack and a water bottle. They will need sturdy shoes or riding boots, long pants and a helmet (bike helmet works).

For our youngest riders, aged 5 - 8 years, we offer morning camps from 9:00am to 12:00pm. For the older students, aged 8 to 12,  we have afternoon camps from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm.  Refer to our calendar below for dates.

Half day camps are $168 per child, GST included.

Full Day Camps:

Our full day camps are for kids aged 8 to 12 years. It is possible to 'tweak' these age rules for families that would like everyone to attend the same camp. Full Day camps run from 9:00am to 4:00 pm for 4 days; normally from Monday to Thursday but check the calendar carefully. All of our full day camps include regular riding lessons as well as other activities. These camps are best suited for kids who have some previous riding experience as some of our trail rides are challenging. These are popular camps and you need to sign up early. Kids need to bring a lunch and a water bottle. They need sturdy shoes or boots, long pants and a helmet (bike helmet works). They will need a back pack for trail ride days.

Art Camp combines riding and learning about horses with art. The kids will ride in the morning and spend the afternoons doing art projects. They will have the opportunity to try a varity of different mediums and techniques. Holly is an accomplished artist and her teaching style introduces kids to art in a fun and relaxed way. Each Art camp week is finished off with an art show in the barn for parent and guests to enjoy.  In 2018, 3 full day camps will be offered, each with a Horses and Art theme.

Full day camps are $315 per child, GST included.

Additional info:

  • Space is limited so that your child receives personal attention and instruction at each camp.

  • Kids learn at their own pace.

  • Age groups are a guide line and can be 'tweaked' especially to include siblings in the same camp.

  • If you require an earlier drop off time in order for your child to attend a camp, please let us know. We charge a fee of $5.00/half hour per child for child care before camp.

  • Please be sure that you are aware of correct pick up times.

  • Half Day camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00pm in the mornings, and 2:00 pm to 5:00pm in the afternoons.

  • Full Day camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and are 4 days; normally Monday to Thursday.

We want your child to enjoy their time here. With that in mind, please note the following:

  • Make sure your child has an adequate lunch packed. Horse back riding is a sport and horse camp is a lot more physical activity than many kids are used too. They may need more lunch than they would for a day at school.

  • Check that your child has appropriate footwear for a farm. They need sturdy boots or shoes, preferably with a slight heel as that is safer for riding. No crocs or sandals please.

  • Gumboots and riding boots are appropriate for riding, but they are NOT appropriate for walking around in all day. Make sure you child has a comfortable pair of shoes to change into while attending our full day camps.

  • Weather can be unpredictable. Make sure your child has a coat with them in case of rain. A change of clothes is recommended for full day camps. Kids are welcome to change into shorts for non-riding activities.

  • Please let us know if your child has any health issues, allergies, or disabilities and we will do our best to accommodate them. We want every kid who attends our camps to be safe and have an equal opportunity to have fun; it helps us to do that if we know what your child's needs are.

  • Please do not bring dogs to the farm while picking up and dropping of your children. Our dogs are livestock guardian dogs and they are protective of the farm. They do not take kindly to other dogs on their territory. The horses do not like unfamiliar dogs and if your dog gets loose it is in danger of getting kicked. We don't want any tragedies, so please leave your dog at home.
